Subtractive Lighting

My subtractive lighting shoot was very different from others I’ve done. The wind was blowing, my hands were numb and we were all ready to get back indoors before the rain started pouring. I still had fun though. Alyssia is a bubbly, fun person to be around and that made the weather not seem so bad.

High Key Portraits

Meet my models, Alec and Cole. They are both good friends and  were a blast to shoot. They’re both really hilarious guys, so we had a lot of fun. These are some of the “normal” shots we got. Enjoy!

Subtractive Lighting Demo (In Class)

3:1 Ratio Lighting

My model, Sarah, was very cooperative. I had just gotten off work and was running short on time. I didn’t have all the equipment I needed or wanted, so I worked with what I had. Enjoy!

Retouch Demo – Before & After

When I first did this, I got rid of all the bumps and blemishes but her skin looked too fake & almost like plastic. I re-did it and like the “after” picture much more now.

Window Light Portraits

My model for the day, Caleb, is quite the goofball. He was fun to shoot and luckily can be serious when needed. Below are some of the more “serious” shots we got. Enjoy!

Window Light Demo

A couple weeks ago, my portrait class got into groups and practiced window light photography. It was a great way to get to know each other and to practice shooting before we did our actual assignment.
